Our client is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join their dynamic Container Platforms Team. This role is pivotal in delivering on the Technology strategy for the organisation. The successful candidate will be part of a team that builds and supports innovative container hosting platforms, offering services based on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and podman container runtime. The team operates across Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangalore.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Reliability Engineer, your role will be multifaceted. You will contribute significantly to the design, development, delivery and support of container hosting platforms. Your expertise will be crucial in assisting internal customers with re-architecting and migrating their applications for a container and micro-services platform. You will also play a key role in supporting services before they go live through various activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews.

• Contribute to the design, development, delivery and support of container hosting platforms using OCP, EKS, AKS and podman
• Assist internal customers with re-architecting and migrating their applications for a container and micro-services platform
• Support services before they go live through system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews
• Own and deliver features and stories in the Container Platforms sprints, peer programming and peer-reviewing with other team members
• Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity
• Be a member of the support and on-call rota for the Container Platforms team, responding to platform or customer issues and driving them through to successful resolution

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Reliability Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in Information Technology along with hands-on experience in production support using one or more containers orchestration platform such as Kubernetes, Openshift or Docker. A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or other relevant courses is required. Certifications in Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Red Hat Certification in OpenShift Administration, Amazon Web Services and Azure would be advantageous. Experience in Incident Management and ITIL v3 Foundation or similar certifications or training would also be beneficial.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or other relevant courses
• At least 5 years of experience in Information Technology
• Hands-on experience in production support using one or more containers orchestration platform such as Kubernetes, Openshift or Docker
• Certification in Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Red Hat Certification in OpenShift Administration would be an advantage
• Certification in Amazon Web Services and Azure certifications would be an advantage
• ITIL v3 Foundation or similar certifications or training would be an advantage
• Experience in Incident Management
